Last years holiday outfits – Why they’ll be making a return this summer!

Sometimes it’s merely impossible to buy a whole new wardrobe for summer or even just a holiday abroad. One thing that I’ve realised is that every piece of clothing is re-wearable, especially staples like shorts and shoes!

Here are some of the outfits that I wore on my holiday last year and will definitely be wearing again this year!

This outfit has that pop of colour with this gorgeous orange bodysuit ! I paired this with blue ripped denim shorts and a chocker to add a little more edge to the look. And you can never go wrong with a pair of black lace up sandals and a black belt. From the Canaries to the nice weather at home, this outfit can be worn anywhere!

This glam look is perfect for all occasions in the sun. From wearing it at night abroad or even during the day when it’s a little chillier here in the U.K. – this outfit is wearable any time! The focus is the uniquely patterned silk trousers which are certainly eye catching (for all of the right reasons). I teamed the trousers with a plain black crop top, simple black sandals and a gold thin chocker. Make sure that with these trousers you keep the rest of the look simple to get a good balance.

This super simple outfit is perfect for a chilled night! This gorgeous yellow bodysuit from DV8 is perfect to capture that summer vibe! I paired this bodysuit with black denim shorts, a brown suede belt and brown sandals. Everything takes together in this outfit and I’m so excited to wear it again this year! If it’s a little colder then a pair of white jeans would be perfect!

As you can tell I wear a lot of the  same items more than once, because why not? This tropical palm tree print off the shoulder top is perfect for night time and when it’s a little colder during the day! It’s basically the perfect top for summer! I matched the top with black denim shorts, a black leather belt, black sandals and a gold chocker to tie the look together! This is a look that I feel will be in fashion for many years to come (especially the tropical print)!

White is always a choir choice in colour when you have a tan! This AX Paris play suit is perfect for any occasion whether that be on holiday or even just for a night out! For this look I opted for my brown sandals and gold chocker to go with it. This is a very simple look but at the same time it stands out for all of the right reasons! It looks like you’ve made an effort but really all you’ve done is chuck a super comfy playsuit on! Best of both worlds!

Again this looks like I’ve made a lot of effort when in actual fact I am wearing the comfiest, stretchiest dress ever! I’m obsessed with the palm tree design on the dress and it’s another one that you can wear time and time again because this print will not be going out of fashion very soon! I.l paired the figure hugging dress with a white lace drape. This adds drama to the look and makes it more glam and holiday like! To go with it I wore black lace up sandals and accessorised with some sunglasses!

This look is more on the girly side. I love This sky blue crop top with spghetti straps, and I love it even more with the lace white body on skirt (both from DV8). The silver sandals add glam to the look, as well as the beautiful statement necklace!

This is a casual day time look for that hot day abroad. I love this laced Jamaican style bralet (I mean just look at the detail and colours)! I paired the bralet with black lace stretchy shorts which are perfect for wearing around the pool as they’re easy to slip on and off! And then I topped the look off with simple black flip flops and of course some sunglasses.

This super comfy and simple looks is made up of a sky blue crop top with a beautiful patterned body on skirt! The colours work so well together and it’s something you can wear during the day or at night – great for any purpose!

Met Gala 2016 Fashion Review

So it’s safe to say that the Met Gala is one of the most fashionable and dramatic nights of the year. The night is all about out of the box dresses, show stopping shoes and stunning jewellery by some of the worlds most well received and extravagant fashion designers. Some of these designers include Balmain, Versace, Givenchy, Marchesa and many more. Not to mention these designs are worn by supermodels, actresses, singers and overall just very famous people.

For this post I am going to be reviewing some of the looks of the night. Talking about the good, the bad, and the utter outrageous!…. This shall be interesting.

The gorgeous Victoria Secret model opted for a sheer fabric, black Topshop dress with a dramatic high neck. She paired this with a black clutch, ring and mesh shoes.

My opinion – I really love this dress, in fact this one of my favourite looks of the night. I especially love her sleek back high bun. To me this looks is very effortless and even though it is plain, the high neck and sleek high bun adds drama to it. Rating – 9/10

Miranda went for a more trendy and fun look with a two piece. She wore louis Vuitton. She paired the two piece with black criss cross heels, a Louis Vuitton clutch and adds some bling with her accessories.

My opinion- This is also another one of my favourite looks of the night, this is because it is so funky, colourful and unique. It makes a change to all of the gowns on the red carpet. My favourite part of the look is the contrasting  fishtail ruffle at the bottom of the dress. On paper this look shouldn’t work, but in fact this works amazingly. Miranda’s braided hair-do adds to the perfect look. Rating – 10/10

No words!! Wow!! Best dressed of the night!! Claire stuns in this Zac Posen dress! I mean it lights up!!

My opinion- This may be the most amazing dress I have ever seen in my entire life! I need this in my life right now!! She looks like a real life Cinderella! Rating 1000/10

It’s not a real fashion event without Kendall Jenner there let’s be honest! Kendall wore a Versace figure-hugging blue, white and sheer panelled dress with cutouts that accentuates and showcases her waist. She paired this dress with silver platformed strappy heels and matching jewellery.

My opinion- This dress oozes sexiness with the amount of skin on show, the dress showcases Kendall’s amazing body and no one can pull off this dress better than Kendall Jenner. She keeps to the technology/futuristic theme with this dress. My favourite part would have to be the shoes as it adds that futuristic feel.  However this is not my favourite look of the night and definitely not my favourite dress I have seen her in. Rating – 7/10

The oh-so gorgeous model of the year, miss Jordan Dunn definitely kept to the futuristic/technology theme of the night. She stunned in this high neck Balmain silver, metallic dress. She paired the dress with black painted nails, and silver hair.

My opinion- This was one of the stand out dresses of the night for me. It reminds me of a robot (which is a compliment as the theme was technology/futuristic). The floor length gown shined with the metallic features and the corset at the top is to die for! Also a thumbs up for that gorgeous hair! Rating- 10/10

The actress absolutely rocked this cut-out futuristic bridal inspired dress by Versace. She paired this dress with platformed silver peep-toe heels, sparkling earrings and effortless wavy hair.

My opinion- I LOVE this dress so much! I fully expect for brides in the future to be wearing this as their wedding dress – I mean who wouldn’t – it’s amazing! Definitely one of my favourites of the night and definitely one of the top dresses that suited the theme to a T! Is it just me or are you not totally loving Kate Hudson’s style right now – so on trend! Rating- 10/10

Screen Shot 2016-05-03 at 15.14.34

One word…. WOW! Zoe Saldana absolutely stuns in this Dolce&Gabbana gown with colourful floral detailing and a heck of a long dramatic train.

My opinion- This has to be joint top of my list for best dressed (along with Claire Danes). This dress is just full force drama, and it is amazing! The detail on the dress is to another level and come on can we talk about that train? I have no words – really! Rating- 10/10

The gorgeous actress showcases her growing baby bump in a stunning blush/pink coloured Burberry gown with floral detailing. Its’s safe to say that Serena returned to the Upper East side in this stunning dress.

My opinion- This is a typical dress for Blake Lively, she obviously stunned in this pink Burberry gown but i can’t help but want her to go for something more outside of the box. I would have loved to see her in a very futuristic style dress – I mean she would have looked gorgeous in anything – but a dress that is metallic would have blown it out of the water for me. Rating- 6/10

Screen Shot 2016-05-03 at 23.49.42

Kylie Jenner opted for a Balmain silver/jewelled dress. She paired this with strappy heels and of course flawless make-up.

My opinion- This is such a breath taking look on Kylie and it really reminds me of 1920’s glamour! The black bob adds to this look! She fits the theme perfectly (shout out to Oliver Rousteing for all of these amazing futuristic Balmain dresses). I love the cut out to showcase her figure. This is one of my favourites of the night and if I have to be honest – she looked better than Kendall! You go Kylie! Rating- 10/10

Screen Shot 2016-05-03 at 15.20.34

The breath taking actress wore a Marchesa gold gown with detail at the shoulders. She looked like a goddess but also showed some cleavage which made it a good fit for her figure.

My opinion- No matter what the former Vampire Diaries star wears, she always looks beautiful. However I feel as though I have seen her in this dress before – certainly something like it. But she still looks fab, I just wish she wore something metallic because she would have rocked it! Rating- 7/10

Screen Shot 2016-05-03 at 15.12.32

Hot couple alert!! Bella stuns in a black Givenchy dress with dramatic ruffles at the bottom. How cute do these guys look together?!

My Opinion- Love these two, they look so good together and thats all I gotta say! Rating 10/10

Best Dressed – Oscars 2016

The Academy Awards (aka the Oscars) is one of the most glamorous star studded events of the year. With stars like Jennifer Lawrence to Jessica Alba – it truly is a night for high end fashion. As well as the obvious highlight of the night being Leonardo DiCaprio finally receiving an Oscar 22 years after his first nomination, the red carpet was another exciting feature for actors and designers. The red carpet is certainly what i get excited for and can hardly ever wait to see what my favourite actors and actresses are wearing. So here are some of my best dressed at the 88th Annual Academy Awards…

My Best Dressed

And of course we can’t forgot about the Vanity Fair Oscar party! The most spectacular and star studded after party. These looks are usually not as formal and are a little more risky. Which makes the after party the fun time to showcase your fashion sense of style.

Best Dressed at Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Fashion at its best. Thank you Academy Awards and Vanity Fair for a night of amazing fashion on the red carpet!

Favourite Fashion Store – January 2016

I have decided to do a new segment on my blog called ‘Favourite Fashion Store’ every month. Every store has new and exciting collections every month so i thought it would be a good idea to share with you some of my favourite pieces and looks from that store.

Misguided has to be my favourite fashion store for January 2016. I was also loving their winter range in December 2015 but i have to say that their new in and collections this month have been to die for. I especially love their grey, beige, violet and kaki colours as i feel these colours are so in at the moment. I also love their range of jeans especially the overly ripped ones! And not to mention their phone cases are oh so adorable!

Simple Review

Screen Shot 2016-01-15 at 16.54.51I have been using Simple for almost two years now, and i personally feel that it works very well. Of course everyone has different skin, so these products may not work for everyone, but I’m here to give my personal opinion and this is it. Hope you all enjoy:)

First off i will be talking about the eye make-up remover. I personally find this a great make-up remover for the eyes and around the eye area. Sometimes removers have too many chemicals in them and they can sting and irritate the skin and eyes. But with the simple one i find that there is no irritation to the eye whatsoever and it does not cause my skin to be red. Another thing i like about the eye make-up remover is that it really does remove your eye make-up. You do not need to put a lot of it onto a pad as only a small bit will get rid of a lot.

Make-up wipes are always an essential! And you want to be buying the best wipes for a good price. I recommend these Simple Baby Moisturising Wipes as they feel very smooth and soft are ‘Kind to Skin’. Your face literally will feel as good as a baby’s bottom! I like using theses wipes for removing excess make-up and dirt off my face that the eye make-up remover does not get.

Screen Shot 2016-01-15 at 17.08.14The next thing i will be talking about will be the Simple Purifying Cleansing Lotion. I apply the cleanser after removing my make-up and washing my face with warm water. If you don’t know what a cleanser is, it is basically a cosmetic product for cleansing the skin. It removes dead skin cells, oil, dirt and other types of pollutants from the skin of the face. I would definitely recommend this cleanser as it doesn’t involve too many harsh chemicals and it is very kind to the skin.

Now for the Simple Soothing Facial Toner. Toner is used to reduce enlarged pores for those with normal, oily or combination skin that may also be sensitive. It is also designed to replenish and hydrate normal to dry skin that may also be sensitive. This toner is quite cheap compared to other high end beauty and skincare product, but it works just as well – if not better.

Moving on to the Light Moisturiser. Simple’s slogan is ‘Kind to Skin’ and it definitely is. I apply this moisturiser after cleansing and toning my skin and i repeat this again at night. The Light Moisturiser is in a cream form which i personally find great as it is easy to rub and smooth into your face. I really like this moisturiser as it is in a cream form which i personally find better as you can see how much you are applying onto your face, mainly because it is a white colour and not clear like a gel. This is easy to rub and smooth into your face. After applying this moisturiser my face always feels very clean, fresh and brand new!

Screen Shot 2016-01-15 at 16.55.42I would recommend Simple skincare to anyone who is unsure on what skincare products to get, mainly because it is quite cheap (cheaper than many high end brands), it can be found on the high street and if you have sensitive skin then it helps it (well for me it does). As i said before Simple may not work for everyone but i would definitely recommend trying it!
